Pete Guzzo and Paul Guzzo
Pete is the creative director and media consultant for 1 Day Films.
Pete obtained his bachelor's degree in film and video production from the University of Tampa and recently finished his Masters of Business Administration degree (studies of interest: marketing and project management). He worked as a free lance videographer, editor, and producer at the City of Tampa Television and Hillsborough County Television for four years and worked for numerous out of state production companies who came to Tampa Bay to film their productions. He started his own media production business, TOO Productions Inc., in 2002.
Pete Guzzo's cinema productions include: director and producer of the feature film "A Joyce Story", director and producer of the award-winning short film "The Dance"; writer, producer and director of the short film "Life is a Circus"; producer and director for the multi-award winning film "99".
He was a co-producer of the film "Burial at Sea" (2007), and is the producer and director for the film "The End is Blossoming" (2006), the first of eight films to comprise the feature-length production "The Ghosts of Ybor".
Pete, along with his brother Paul founded and co-hosts The Tampa Film Review, a monthly film review that screens local and national independent films, which has been recognized in the Tampa's Weekly Planet as the "Best Reasons to Believe the Local Film Scene is Alive and Well in Tampa" and "Best Recovery". He is on the board of directors of a The Gasparilla Film Festiva and is working on a program that could help filmmakers find resources to fund their films for Film Festivals.
