Arts Council of Hillsborough County

The Council is the designated funding source for cultural services and is governed by a 15-member board of directors appointed by the County Commissioners. The Council has no membership, but does have a cultural alliance of leaders of arts organizations and artists to derive a common community-wide agenda and to provide a base for arts advocacy.

The Council is divided into three divisions: Arts in Education, the Tampa Theatre, and Program Services.

Hillsborough Community College-Ybor Campus

The Ybor City Campus is situated in the heart of Tampa's Historic Latin Quarter. Interspersed with the existing historic structures in Ybor City, the campus buildings were architecturally designed to blend with the surroundings.

HCC's fine arts complex, which features studios, classrooms, a gallery, a theatre and an auditorium, is located here. The campus also boasts an administration building, a faculty building and a learning resource center.

Screen Actors Guild

The Florida branch of the Screen Actors Guild works daily to improve the timely delivery of wages, benefits and residuals to actors in our special environment. The Florida branch is focused on providing tools, such as iActor, for members to help bring their faces, resumes and demo clips to national and international producers. Our branch significantly contributes to Screen Actors Guild's national efforts to improve contract wages and working conditions in all media.
