Butterfly Effect
"Butterfly Effect" converges old techniques of making animation together with new exploration of different media. The use of materials other than paper adds light to the texture of stop-motion, making the space vary with dimensions and volume.
On a bright, sunny morning, Eric and his neighbours in blue uniforms start the day in their bizarre town. An old brown briefcase fallen from the sky pushes them to a marathon. From the town with queer factories and the broccoli path, the scenario resembling dreamscape brings the characters back and forth in the town.
A downpour of gluey rain shields the lively and vivid town, lavishly and perpetually.
All made in hard cut photos, this stop-motion video required more than half a year for the creators to shoot. Music is performed by innisfallen, a four-piece rock band.
