Paul Guzzo

Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Paul Guzzo moved to Tampa, Fl. in 1999. He received his BA in Journalism from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. For the past nine years, he been a writer for La Gaceta Newspaper, the nation's only tri-lingual newspaper (English, Spanish and Italian), located in Ybor City in Tampa, Florida.

Along with his brother, Pete Guzzo, Paul co-founded and co-hosts Tampa Film Reviews, a monthly film event founded in January 2004 in Tampa that showcases the films of Florida independent filmmakers. Recently, Paul and Pete were named the "Best Reasons to Believe the Local Film Scene Is Alive and Well" by the Tampa publication The Weekly Planet (now Creative Loafing), and "Creatives of the Week" by Tampa Bay's Media Talk Radio Show. Paul was also chosen an inaugural member of the Gasparilla Film Festival Board of Directors.

Paul has produced four independent films - "Joyce Story", the award-winning short "The Dance", the multi-award winning feature film "99", and "The Ghosts of Ybor", a series of films about Ybor City.
