Margaret Ross Tolbert
Margaret Ross Tolbert, a painter, dancer and author based in Gainesville, Florida, will be a first-time featured artist at the 2011 Festival of the Moving Image.
Tolbert's fascination with the colors and flowing movement of the springs of North Florida, led her to create a twenty-year series of paintings and
choreography. Her paintings are large, splashed with the colors of the shores and basins of the springs and often serve as the backdrop for her

The HCC-Ybor Festival of the Moving Image invites all FLORIDA filmmakers, both students and professionals to send us your titles for possible screening at the festival in March, plus be eligible for merit awards that total $2,400 in cash awards. The deadline for entry was March 1, 2011.
Please note that filmmakers from around the world are still welcome to submit films for consideration — however, in these special economic times, forgive us for being Florida-centric and supporting our neighbors.
The awards are provided by Hillsborough Community College-Ybor City Campus, Atlantic&Pacific Productions of Tampa, and the University of South Florida, Tampa campus. This year the awards are divided into three categories for Florida student filmmakers and one for Florida independent filmmakers.

2011 Festival of the Moving Image
The Ninth Annual Festival of the Moving Image continues the tradition of showcasing new videos, films, live performance and art to appreciative audiences in the Tampa, Florida, area.
The 2011 Festival will be presented Wednesday, March 23, through Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the Hillsborough Community College Ybor Campus, located in Ybor City, the historic district of Tampa.
